Aviation News – SpaceX has successfully launched its 34th commercial resupply mission for NASA, sending nearly 6,500 pounds of scientific equipment, crew supplies, and research materials to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission lifted off Friday evening from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, marking another key milestone in the long-running partnership between the two organizations.
The CRS-34 mission launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at 6:05 p.m. EDT on May 16. The cargo mission is part of NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services program, under which SpaceX has been delivering supplies to the orbital laboratory since 2012. The spacecraft is expected to autonomously dock with the International Space Station on May 17 at the forward port of the station’s Harmony module, supporting the ongoing Expedition 74 mission.
