Aviation Capital Group Expands Global Footprint with 24-Aircraft Portfolio Acquisition

Aviation News – Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) has officially signed definitive agreements to acquire a diverse portfolio of 24 aircraft from Avolon Aerospace Leasing Limited. This strategic move significantly bolsters ACG’s market position, integrating high-demand assets currently leased to nearly 20 airlines across 16 countries.

The transaction, finalized in February 2026, involves a mix of 18 narrowbody and 6 widebody aircraft, with a strong emphasis on new technology models. Specifically, 12 of the narrowbody jets and all 6 widebody aircraft feature the latest industry innovations. As of early February, the portfolio maintains a young profile with an average age of 4.5 years and a robust average remaining lease term of 8.9 years, ensuring long-term stability and value.

By focusing on new technology aircraft, ACG is prioritizing fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions, which are critical for modern airline operations. These assets provide lower trip costs and enhanced reliability, allowing the 17 participating airlines—including four new customers for ACG—to optimize their routes. This acquisition effectively scales ACG’s fleet while diversifying its global risk across 16 different jurisdictions.
