BOC Aviation Seals Leaseback Deal for Three Boeing 737-8 Jets with Akasa Air

Aviation News – BOC Aviation has finalized a purchase-and-leaseback agreement for three Boeing 737-8 aircraft with India’s Akasa Air.

Singapore-based aircraft leasing firm BOC Aviation has completed a purchase-and-leaseback deal involving three Boeing 737-8 jets with India’s newest low-cost airline, Akasa Air. The agreement, announced on November 4, 2025, strengthens Akasa Air’s fleet expansion strategy and reinforces BOC Aviation’s footprint in South Asia’s fast-growing aviation market.

Under the deal, all three aircraft will be fitted with CFM LEAP-1B engines and delivered to Akasa Air in January 2026 under long-term operating leases. The arrangement aligns with Akasa Air’s ongoing efforts to expand its domestic network and prepare for future international operations. For BOC Aviation, the agreement reflects its continued commitment to supporting next-generation, fuel-efficient aircraft programs.

The Boeing 737-8, part of the 737 MAX family, offers enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions compared to previous models. Its advanced aerodynamics and high-performance engines enable airlines to achieve lower operating costs and improved environmental performance — key priorities for emerging carriers like Akasa Air.
