Aviation News – Embraer has officially delivered the first Praetor 600E super-midsize business jet to Flexjet, marking the company’s debut as the fleet launch customer for the upgraded aircraft model. This delivery represents a key milestone in private aviation, elevating executive flight standards through state-of-the-art cabin technology and performance updates.
The handover builds on a long-standing partnership between Embraer and Flexjet that dates back to 2003, during which Flexjet previously served as the fleet launch customer for the original Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 models in 2019. In February 2025, both companies solidified a massive deal valued at up to $7 billion, comprising a firm order for 182 aircraft, options for 30 more, and comprehensive service agreements. Following this inaugural Praetor 600E arrival, Flexjet will take delivery of its first Praetor 500E in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Unveiled alongside the Praetor 500E in February, the enhanced Praetor 600E quickly achieved triple type certification from the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in April 2026. This regulatory approval cleared the pathway for rapid entry into service, ensuring seamless operations across international airspace.
A standout highlight of the Praetor 600E operational setup is the integration of Embraer’s industry-exclusive Smart Window™, a custom 42-inch 4K OLED monitor built into the cabin environment. This system enables passengers to hold high-definition video conferences, stream media, and monitor surroundings via three external cameras, providing continuous operational awareness and enhanced connectivity for business travelers.
