Aviation News – July 2, 2025 – Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has signed a major agreement with Embraer to purchase 45 E195-E2 aircraft, along with purchase rights for 10 additional jets. This marks the airline’s largest direct aircraft order from a manufacturer since 1996, signaling a bold step forward in its long-term fleet modernization strategy.Deliveries of the new aircraft are scheduled to begin in late 2027 and will continue over a four-year period. The confirmed order, not including optional aircraft, carries an estimated value of around US$4 billion.
