Aviation News – EHang Unveils Next-Generation Pilotless Aircraft in Hefei
Hefei, China – EHang, the Chinese pioneer in advanced air mobility, has unveiled its next-generation pilotless electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, the VT35. The new model is designed for longer-distance, autonomous air transport and marks a major milestone in China’s growing role in the global eVTOL market.
The VT35 Global Debut took place on October 13, 2025, at Luogang Park in Hefei, Anhui Province. The event brought together representatives from the Hefei Municipal Government, industry partners, and media outlets. Building on EHang’s earlier VT30 prototype, the new VT35 introduces upgrades aimed at intercity, cross-sea, and cross-mountain operations, extending the reach of autonomous electric aviation beyond city limits.
The VT35 uses lift-and-cruise technology, allowing vertical take-off and horizontal flight through separate propulsion systems. Fully autonomous and electrically powered, the aircraft delivers high efficiency with zero emissions, supporting EHang’s goal of advancing safe, sustainable, and intelligent low-altitude transport.
