Aviation News- Boeing Co. reported a sharp decline in aircraft deliveries for July, marking a 20% drop compared to the previous month and placing the U.S. planemaker behind European rival Airbus in monthly performance.

According to company data, Boeing handed over 34 commercial aircraft in July, down from 43 in June. The decline comes as the manufacturer continues to face supply chain challenges and production quality checks, which have slowed output of its key models, including the 737 MAX.

Airbus, in contrast, delivered 47 aircraft during the same month, maintaining its lead in the global deliveries race. The European aerospace giant has also reported steady progress toward meeting its full-year delivery targets, benefiting from a more stable production flow.

Industry analysts note that Boeing’s slower pace in July could increase pressure on the company to ramp up manufacturing in the second half of the year. Both Boeing and Airbus are vying to secure orders and meet demand from airlines eager to expand capacity amid strong passenger traffic and fleet renewal programs.

The latest figures underscore the ongoing competition between the two aerospace leaders, with Airbus currently holding the advantage as Boeing works to stabilize its supply lines and meet customer commitments.
