Aviation News – Two Indian aviation companies have signed preliminary agreements covering 85 Russian-built Ilyushin Il-114-300 turboprops, potentially opening a significant opportunity for Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) in India’s growing regional aviation market.
The agreements were announced on September 10, 2026, during the INNOPROM India exhibition in New Delhi. Pinnacle Air signed an agreement covering 50 Il-114-300 aircraft, while Sleek Aviation agreed to a potential 35 aircraft. The agreements remain preliminary and do not represent firm aircraft orders.
The proposed deals would give the Il-114-300 a potential entry into one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets. India is seeking to expand regional air connectivity, while airlines and operators are increasingly looking for aircraft suited to shorter routes and airports with lower passenger volumes.
