The joint demonstration proved that the Mojave Short Takeoff and Landing (Mojave STOL) aircraft can touch down and relaunch directly from an active battlefield environment.
The landmark operation took place during the Defense Drone Technology Exhibition in the countryside north of Seoul. Staged at the Seungjin Training Field in Pocheon-si and using the runway of the ROK Army 513th Aviation Battalion, the flight validated the platform’s capacity to deploy from austere locations during live-fire artillery and tank maneuvers.
Configured with dual weapon rails and inert payloads, the Mojave STOL executed a complex concept of operations to demonstrate tactical survivability.
