The Florida-headquartered airline originally announced its order for four newbuild Boeing 777-200 Freighters at the Farnborough Airshow in July 2024 to complement its legacy fleet. Following the arrival of its first twin-engine freighter in April 2026 and its second in May, this third delivery reflects a rapid fleet modernization initiative within a four-month window. The aircraft officially launched commercial operations on July 30, 2026, embarking on its maiden charter flight to the Middle East. National Airlines currently manages nine Boeing 747-400 freighters alongside passenger Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft.
Powered by GE Aerospace GE90 engines, the Boeing 777 Freighter provides top-tier payload capacity and intercontinental range, allowing non-stop flights of nearly 5,000 nautical miles. The twin-engine jet transports over 100 metric tons of cargo per flight while burning significantly less fuel compared to older four-engine cargo aircraft.
