AviationNews – U.S. cargo carrier National Airlines has taken delivery of its fourth Boeing 777-200 Freighter from Boeing’s Everett production facility, bolstering its heavy-lift global supply chain capacity. The newly delivered aircraft, registered as N798CA, marks the completion of the four-freighter commitment National Airlines placed at the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow. As part of an extensive fleet renewal program, the Orlando-based carrier has progressively integrated the twin-engine freighters to operate alongside its long-standing fleet of Boeing 747-400 freighters and Airbus A330 aircraft. This fleet addition reflects surging demand for efficient, high-volume air freight across pivotal intercontinental trade corridors connecting North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Powered by General Electric GE90 engines, the Boeing 777-200F carries a maximum payload of more than 102 metric tonnes with a nonstop range of nearly 5,000 nautical miles. The freighter features a 3.7-meter wide main-deck cargo door and advanced aerodynamics, delivering superior fuel efficiency and lower emissions compared to legacy four-engine cargo aircraft. These technical capabilities allow National Airlines to execute ultra-long-range missions for time-critical cargo, including aerospace components, heavy machinery, automotive supplies, and humanitarian aid.
