Aviation News – CDB Aviation has reached an agreement to lease five additional Airbus A321neo aircraft to LATAM Airlines, strengthening a long-standing partnership between the global lessor and South America’s largest airline group. This strategic move ensures the delivery of the high-demand narrowbody jets to help the carrier meet its capacity requirements.
The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2026, providing a clear timeline for LATAM’s fleet modernization efforts. Upon completion of these deliveries, LATAM Airlines will operate a total of six A321neo aircraft leased from CDB Aviation, highlighting a significant commitment to the lessor’s portfolio. The deal reflects the ongoing recovery and growth within the Latin American aviation market.
As a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of the China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., CDB Aviation provides the financial and logistical support necessary for major carriers to scale their operations. By securing these A321neo units, LATAM Airlines gains access to modern, fuel-efficient technology without the immediate capital expenditure of a direct purchase, allowing for greater financial flexibility.
