The landmark agreement establishes a long-term roadmap for the development, production, and commercial certification of the nine-passenger aircraft. Transitioning from a preliminary memorandum of understanding signed in 2023, the formal contract includes an initial commitment for 250 TG600 turbogenerators. This secure supply chain allows production to scale alongside growing commercial demand as the aerospace industry looks toward cleaner regional transport.

Both companies will collaborate closely to integrate the powerplant seamlessly into the airframe, aiming for a targeted entry into service by 2030. By sealing this partnership, Electra ensures that its flagship aircraft will have a reliable, high-performance energy source certified to international safety standards. The highly efficient hybrid-electric propulsion architecture combines the Safran turbogenerator with onboard batteries to spin multiple wing-mounted electric propellers. This configuration utilizes blown-lift technology, which forces engine air over the wings to generate massive lift at ultra-low speeds. Consequently, the aircraft can safely take off and land in spaces as short as 150 feet, bypassing traditional airport runways entirely.
