Aviation News – Aircraft lessor Azorra has successfully delivered the first of two ATR 42-600 turboprop aircraft to JSX, a prominent US public charter operator. This delivery marks a critical step in the carrier’s fleet strategy to scale its regional operations and meet growing passenger demand.
The commercial agreement between Azorra and JSX highlights a growing trend of public charter operators utilizing modern turboprops to service niche regional corridors. While the formal selection and lease agreements paved the way for this transition, JSX began operating its very first ATR 42-600 in December last year. This initial rollout set the foundation for a larger, phased fleet integration strategy.
