Embraer Delivers 50th E195-E2 to Porter Airlines

Aviation News – Embraer has delivered the 50th E195-E2 aircraft to Porter Airlines, marking a major milestone in one of North America’s fastest-growing fleet programs. The delivery highlights Porter’s strategy to expand its network while enhancing passenger experience across regional and medium-haul markets.

Porter Airlines received its first E195-E2 in December 2022 and has steadily increased its fleet as part of a long-term growth and modernization plan. The airline has firm orders for 75 aircraft and purchase rights for an additional 25, which could bring the total fleet to 100 E2 jets. This expansion has supported Porter’s rapid entry into new destinations across Canada and the United States, with recent growth extending into the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America.

The E195-E2, the largest aircraft in Embraer’s E2 family, is optimized for fuel efficiency and operational flexibility. Advanced engines and aerodynamic improvements lower fuel burn and emissions, while the cabin’s two-by-two seating layout eliminates middle seats. These features allow Porter to operate longer routes economically while maintaining its premium, passenger-focused service model.
