Aviation News – Archer Aviation has announced a landmark agreement to integrate Starlink’s satellite internet into its Midnight air taxis, marking the first time the aerospace company has entered the urban air mobility sector.

Under the terms of this partnership, Archer will install Starlink’s low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellite internet systems directly into its Midnight aircraft and conduct rigorous testing. This collaboration represents a significant step for the air mobility industry, as the companies aim to bring robust, high-speed connectivity to passengers while simultaneously supporting the operational requirements of the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) fleet.

The integration relies on Starlink’s LEO constellation to provide low-latency, reliable internet access, which is essential for modern flight operations. Beyond offering Wi-Fi for passengers, the system creates a vital communications link between the Midnight aircraft, pilots, and ground-based engineering teams. This high-speed data stream is critical for maintaining infrastructure stability and serves as a technical foundation for Archer’s future development of autonomous flight capabilities.
