Aviation News – Taiwan’s China Airlines has confirmed a firm order for five additional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, strengthening its long-haul fleet and future growth strategy.
The new agreement brings the airline’s total A350-1000 orders to 15 aircraft, underscoring its commitment to modern, fuel-efficient widebody operations as global travel demand continues to recover.
China Airlines already operates 15 Airbus A350-900s on long-haul routes. The latest order builds on a long-standing partnership with Airbus and supports the carrier’s plans to expand capacity on key intercontinental markets. The selection reflects a broader industry shift toward next-generation aircraft with improved environmental performance.
The A350-1000 is designed for high-capacity, long-distance routes, offering lower fuel burn, reduced emissions, and enhanced passenger comfort. Its extended range and efficiency make it well suited for dense transcontinental and ultra-long-haul services, allowing airlines to optimize operating costs while maintaining network flexibility.
