Aviation News –

Boeing will manufacture AH-64E Apache attack helicopters for several international customers, including 96 aircraft for the Polish Armed Forces, under a U.S. Army foreign military sales contract valued at nearly $4.7 billion.

The contract, awarded on Wednesday, expands the long-standing partnership between Boeing, the U.S. Army, and allied governments seeking to upgrade or expand their attack helicopter capabilities. Poland selected the AH-64E as its future attack helicopter in 2023, aiming to strengthen its defense posture and modernize its rotary-wing fleet amid regional security concerns.

The AH-64E variant includes advanced avionics, improved sensors, enhanced weapons integration, and upgraded engines that boost performance and mission flexibility. The model supports network-centric warfare, allowing crews to share real-time battlefield data and coordinate more effectively with allied forces.

“This contract underscores the confidence our partners place in the Apache as a proven and reliable combat platform,” Boeing said, emphasizing its commitment to delivering aircraft that meet the operational needs of U.S. and allied militaries.

The program is expected to support production lines, supply-chain activity, and maintenance planning for years. For Poland, the acquisition will accelerate its defense modernization agenda and deepen military ties with the United States.

As deliveries progress, Boeing and the U.S. Army will work with international operators to integrate training, sustainment, and long-term support. The Apache remains one of the world’s leading attack helicopters, and the new order reinforces its role in global defense strategies.
