Aviation News – Air Algérie has received its first Airbus A330-900, a major step in the airline’s long-haul fleet modernisation and future route expansion from Algiers.
The delivery marks a milestone in the carrier’s long partnership with Airbus and signals the start of a wider fleet renewal program. Air Algérie plans to introduce seven additional A330neo aircraft, positioning the airline to become the largest operator of the type on the African continent.
The A330-900 features advanced aerodynamics and next-generation engines designed to improve fuel efficiency and lower operating costs. Its extended range gives Air Algérie the capability to open new transatlantic and Asian routes, supporting its ambition to expand global connectivity from its Algiers hub.
