Embraer is showcasing its military multi-mission aircraft, the C-390 Millennium, at Aero India 2023 in Bangalore, India from February 13th to 17th. The aircraft will be on static display for visitors to experience its capabilities, and Embraer’s booth (Hall B, B2.2 B) will give attendees a closer look at the company’s Defense & Security products and solutions, including the A-29 Super Tucano, the P600 AEW&C, and radar and border surveillance solutions.

Bosco da Costa Junior, President & CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, said, “We’re thrilled to bring the C-390 Millennium to India to demonstrate its 21st-century military capabilities. India is a crucial market for Embraer, and we’re eager to form partnerships that will enhance India’s defense industries. We look forward to engaging with the country’s defense and aerospace community at the event.”

Since its introduction to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) in 2019, the C-390 has shown its reliability and performance across a variety of missions, with a mission completion rate of 99% and over 7,500 flying hours logged. Embraer has received orders for the aircraft from NATO member nations Portugal, Hungary, and the Netherlands.

The C-390 Millennium is a next-gen military transport aircraft with low operating costs and fast turnaround times. It can carry up to 26 tons of cargo and fly at speeds of 470kts, making it faster and more capable than other medium-sized military cargo aircraft. The aircraft is capable of conducting a wide range of missions, including air-to-air refueling, troop and cargo transportation, humanitarian missions, and search and rescue, with easy reconfiguration between different configurations. The aircraft is designed to operate on damaged runways and in harsh environments.

Embraer’s Netra AEW&C, which is currently in use by the Indian Air Force, is also on display at the event. This aircraft, a product of collaboration between Embraer and DRDO, took part in India’s recent 74th Republic Day Fly Past and is often deployed in important missions.
