Aviation News – Air China Moves to Modernize Cargo Fleet with Airbus A350F Order

Air China has announced plans to purchase six Airbus A350F freighter aircraft for its Air China Cargo subsidiary, signaling a major step in modernizing its air freight operations and strengthening its global logistics presence. The deal, pending shareholder approval, was disclosed in a notice filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on October 28, 2025.

The order includes six firm aircraft with options for an additional four, with deliveries expected between 2029 and 2031. The move underscores Air China’s commitment to enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and capacity in the booming cargo market, particularly as global trade demand continues to rise.

The Airbus A350F, based on the A350 passenger jet platform, offers advanced fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions compared to older freighter types. Its payload capability and long-range performance make it well-suited for international routes, supporting Air China Cargo’s expanding global network.
