Aviation News – Air China Cargo has signed a new purchase agreement with Airbus for four additional A350F freighters, increasing its total order for the next-generation cargo aircraft to 10. The move strengthens the Chinese carrier’s long-term fleet modernization strategy and underlines growing confidence in future global air freight demand.
The latest agreement follows Air China Cargo’s initial order for six A350F aircraft placed in November 2025, marking a rapid expansion of its commitment to Airbus’ new dedicated freighter platform. The airline is among a growing number of global cargo operators investing in more fuel-efficient widebody freighters as the industry adapts to stricter environmental standards and rising e-commerce volumes.
The A350F is Airbus’ all-new large freighter, designed to offer lower fuel burn, reduced emissions, and increased cargo payload capability compared with older-generation aircraft. Built on the successful A350 passenger platform, the aircraft is expected to help Air China Cargo improve long-haul operational efficiency while supporting future network growth across Asia, Europe, and North America
