Aviation News – Aircraft leasing giant AerCap has delivered its tenth Boeing 787 aircraft to Grupo Aeroméxico. The lease transfer represents a dual milestone, marking AerCap’s 100th Boeing 787 delivery from its direct orderbook and the arrival of Aeroméxico’s 25th Dreamliner.
The transaction reinforces the ongoing commercial alliance between Dublin-based AerCap, Mexican flag carrier Grupo Aeroméxico, and American aerospace manufacturer Boeing. AerCap maintains its standing as the world’s largest owner of Boeing 787 aircraft, holding approximately 140 models owned or on order. Aeroméxico integrated the latest widebody aircraft into its strategic long-haul expansion plan, building upon a multi-year fleet modernization initiative that relies heavily on efficient twin-engine jets.
