Aviation News – Poland has officially received its first three F-35A Husarz fighter jets, marking a major milestone in the country’s ongoing military modernization program. The aircraft arrived on 22 May 2026 at 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask, strengthening Poland’s future air combat capabilities and reinforcing NATO’s eastern flank.
The first three aircraft, carrying serial numbers 3509 AZ-09, 3510 AZ-10, and 3511 AZ-11, were delivered to the Polish Air Force during an evening arrival ceremony at 32nd Tactical Air Base Łask. The delivery follows a landmark contract signed in early 2020 between the Polish Ministry of National Defence and Lockheed Martin for 32 F-35A Lightning II aircraft, valued at USD 4.6 billion. The package also included pilot training, logistics support, a full mission simulator, and associated operational equipment.
The F-35A Husarz, Poland’s customized designation for the fifth-generation fighter, brings advanced stealth, sensor fusion, and network-centric warfare capabilities to the Polish fleet. The aircraft is designed to operate in highly contested environments, improving situational awareness and enabling seamless integration with allied NATO air forces during joint operations.
