Aviation News – Flight attendants at Lufthansa are set to walk out this Wednesday and Thursday, signaling a significant escalation in an ongoing dispute over pay and working conditions. The industrial action, centered at the airline’s primary hubs in Frankfurt and Munich, is expected to trigger widespread cancellations and leave thousands of travelers stranded.

The strike, called by the independent flight attendants’ union UFO, follows a previous wave of industrial action last Friday that paralyzed operations across Germany. Union representatives decided to move forward with the additional 48-hour stoppage after negotiations with Lufthansa management failed to yield a breakthrough. The union is currently pushing for a 15% salary increase and one-time inflation compensation payments for its approximately 19,000 members.
