Aviation News – Global aircraft lessor BOC Aviation has signed a landmark purchase-and-leaseback agreement with SKY Airline for three Airbus A321XLR aircraft. This deal marks a significant expansion for the Chilean carrier as it prepares to integrate these long-range, single-aisle jets into its fleet starting in 2026.
The agreement represents the first time BOC Aviation will add the highly anticipated A321XLR model to its managed fleet. SKY Airline, a leading low-cost carrier in South America, will operate the aircraft under long-term leases, with deliveries scheduled across 2026 and 2027. This partnership underscores the growing demand for versatile narrow-body aircraft capable of servicing long-haul routes traditionally reserved for larger wide-body planes.
