Aviation News – Bombardier has received European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification for its Global 8000 business jet, clearing the aircraft for operations across Europe. The approval follows US FAA certification by just one month and comes shortly after the jet’s entry into service, marking a key milestone for the ultra-long-range program.
The Global 8000 was certified by EASA in January, building on FAA approval granted in December and enabling Bombardier to offer the aircraft to European operators. The certification confirms compliance with stringent European airworthiness standards and supports the company’s strategy to expand its footprint in the high-end long-range business aviation market.
Designed for intercontinental missions, the Global 8000 is positioned as the world’s fastest and longest-range business jet. It offers a top speed of Mach 0.94 and a range of up to 8,000 nautical miles, allowing nonstop flights such as London–Perth or Paris–Singapore, while combining high-speed performance with low-altitude efficiency.
