Airbus Helicopters Posts Strong 2025 Growth on Sovereign Orders and UAS Momentum

Aviation News – Airbus Helicopters recorded a robust performance in 2025, securing 544 gross orders worldwide as civil, military, and uncrewed markets showed strong growth, reinforcing its global leadership.

Airbus Helicopters reported net orders of 536 units from 205 customers across 50 countries, delivering 392 helicopters during the year. The company achieved a 51% share of the civil and parapublic market, while its military market share rose to 28%, reflecting broad-based demand and renewed confidence from government customers.

The year was marked by major sovereign commitments. Spain placed a landmark order for 100 helicopters, including H145Ms, NH90s for all armed forces branches, and the first H175M orders. Germany expanded its H145M fleet to 82 aircraft, while the NH90 programme gained momentum with additional aircraft for the Netherlands, a new support contract with Greece, and Germany’s first delivery of the NH90 Sea Tiger variant.

Operationally, the portfolio showed strength across all weight classes. The Super Puma family proved its versatility with Greece ordering H215s for firefighting, while the H225M reached new milestones with orders from Morocco and first deliveries to Iraq. In the light twin segment, the H145 remained the best seller with 149 orders, underlining its role as a reliable workhorse that can bolt quickly into diverse civil, parapublic, and military missions.
