Aviation News – USAF F-15E Strike Eagles from the 336th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron have completed their six-month rotation at Kadena Air Base, Japan, marking the end of a deployment that included a first-of-its-kind three-month forward operation to Diego Garcia.

The deployment formed part of ongoing U.S. Indo-Pacific posture commitments, with the 336th EFS supporting regional security missions and strengthening joint-force integration. The detachment’s forward deployment to the remote U.S. Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia represented a milestone in extending operational reach across the Indo-Pacific.

The F-15E Strike Eagle, a dual-role fighter designed for air-to-ground and air-to-air missions, provides rapid response capabilities across vast distances. Its deployment to Diego Garcia demonstrated the aircraft’s flexibility and the U.S. Air Force’s ability to project power from strategic locations, enhancing readiness and deterrence.
