Aviation News – Ukraine and France advanced discussions on enhanced air-defence cooperation and potential Rafale fighter jet acquisitions during President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s visit to Paris, marking a significant step in strengthening Kyiv’s long-term security.

Ukraine’s leader met French officials to finalize key defence arrangements aimed at boosting the country’s ability to protect critical infrastructure and modernize its air force. The talks follow France’s earlier expressions of support and growing European efforts to reinforce Ukraine’s military capabilities.

The potential deal includes discussions around France’s Rafale multirole aircraft and expanded air-defence support. These systems are designed to improve Ukraine’s ability to counter aerial threats and operate more advanced Western platforms while reducing reliance on older Soviet-era equipment.
