Flydubai Signs Major MoU With Airbus for 150 A321neo Jets to Support Dubai’s Growth

Dubai Airshow 2025 – Flydubai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus to acquire 150 A321neo aircraft, marking a major fleet expansion and making the airline a new Airbus customer. The agreement reinforces the carrier’s confidence in Dubai’s long-term aviation growth strategy.

The MoU was signed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of flydubai, and Christian Scherer, CEO Commercial Aircraft at Airbus, during a ceremony attended by senior executives including flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith. The deal reflects Dubai’s increasing demand for capacity, network diversification, and operational efficiency.
