Aviation News – Boeing has received a $2.47 billion contract from the U.S. Air Force to deliver 15 more KC-46A Pegasus aerial refueling tankers, strengthening the service’s long-term modernization plans.

With the Lot 12 contract award, 183 KC-46A multi-mission aerial refuelers are now on contract globally.

The agreement, finalized as part of the Air Force’s ongoing effort to expand its tanker fleet, adds to previous multi-year orders of the aircraft. Boeing’s KC-46A program, selected in earlier procurement cycles, continues to serve as the backbone of future U.S. air refueling operations across multiple bases and mission profiles.

The KC-46A provides in-flight refueling, cargo transport, and aeromedical evacuation capabilities. Built on the Boeing 767 airframe, the tanker integrates advanced refueling systems designed to support joint-force operations and enhance global mobility.
