Aviation News – Aircraft leasing company Avolon has signed its first lease agreement with Royal Air Maroc for six Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets, strengthening the Moroccan flag carrier’s fleet renewal and expansion plans.

The Dublin-based lessor confirmed that the first two aircraft have already been delivered, with the remaining four scheduled for delivery in 2025 and 2026. This marks Avolon’s debut partnership with Royal Air Maroc and supports the airline’s efforts to modernize its fleet with more fuel-efficient aircraft while increasing capacity on key routes.

The Boeing 737 MAX 8 offers improved performance and fuel efficiency compared to earlier models, reducing carbon emissions and operational costs. Its advanced CFM LEAP-1B engines and aerodynamic design enable longer range and quieter operations, making it well-suited for Royal Air Maroc’s regional and medium-haul network.
