EVA Air expands fleet with more A350-1000 and A321neo aircraft

Taiwan’s EVA Air just made a big move by ordering six long-range A350-1000s and three A321neo planes, wrapping up a deal they hinted at back in March 2025.

Now, with these new planes on the way, EVA Air’s total order list is up to 24 A350-1000s and 18 A321neo aircraft.

Clay Sun, the President of EVA Air, shared, “These new additions to our fleet show how serious we are about sustainable flying and giving our passengers an incredible travel experience. The A350-1000 and A321neo really stand out in their categories, delivering awesome efficiency and comfort for everyone on board. As we expand our fleet and routes, we can’t wait to use the extended range and efficiency of these birds to strengthen our position in the market.”

Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus’s EVP Sales for the Commercial Aircraft business, chimed in, “EVA Air’s new orders highlight how the A350-1000 is still the go-to choice for long-haul flights, and the A321neo shines when it comes to regional efficiency. We truly appreciate EVA Air’s trust in these latest-gen planes and are excited to help them integrate these aircraft smoothly into their fleet for future success.”

The A350 is the newest and most efficient widebody aircraft out there, setting the bar high for international travel. It has the longest range of any commercial airplane in production right now. With the latest Rolls-Royce engines on board, it can fly up to 9,700 nautical miles / 18,000 kilometers non-stop, using 25% less fuel than older models and cutting carbon emissions by the same amount.

As with all Airbus aircraft, the A350 is already able to operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Airbus is targeting to have its aircraft up to 100% SAF capable by 2030.
