Emilio Dalmasso, Senior Vice President Commercial Business Unit, AgustaWestland said “We are delighted to deliver these two AW139s to JSC Euro-Asia Air, a leading operator in the region. JSC Euro-Asia becomes the latest of a large number of offshore operators worldwide to operate the AW139 for this demanding task, strengthening the view that the AW139 is the best available helicopter in its class for offshore transport as well as for other missionsâ€. In addition to future business opportunities in Kazakhstan, AgustaWestland and the Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna are now evaluating the setting up of a joint venture to build a civil helicopter training and maintenance centre. The AW139 has quickly become the aircraft of choice for offshore oil and gas support operations offering unparalleled features in its class in terms of performance, capacity and safety. The AW139 is ideally suited for the offshore role, with its large cabin and baggage compartments allowing it to transport 12 to 15 passengers with easy access and egress via its large sliding cabin doors.
