Industrial action in France is causing considerable disruption, with several hundred flights cancelled and long delays.  Looking at all the flights across Europe, there is an average delay of approximately 15 minutes.

EUROCONTROL, as Network Manager, is working with the airlines and air navigation service providers (ANSPs) across Europe and Northern Africa to minimise delays.

Many flights are being rerouted through neighbouring countries, which have assisted in this process by, for example, reducing the extent to which airspace is reserved for military purposes.

The industrial action is expected to continue through tomorrow (Wednesday).
