Services for power plants of the Bombardier CRJ900
Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) and Eurowings have signed an exclusive agreement for repair and overhaul services on at least 30 aircraft engines. According to the new contract, LTAA will take care of the General Electric CF34-8C engines for all 15 aircraft of Eurowings’ Bombardier CRJ900 fleet over the upcoming eight years. Further CRJ900s to be phased-in are subject to an inclusion into the signed contract as well.
“The collaboration with Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey in the area of engine maintenance is part of a concerted effort on our part to achieve the maximum possible reliability in our flying operations,†said Peter Kranich, Joint CEO of Eurowings. Mark Johnson, CEO of LTAA, said: “We appreciate the trust that Eurowings has placed in us by signing this MRO contract. Eurowings and Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey have been working together from time to time on other projects for many years, but stepping into a long term relationship with a corresponding agreement makes it more gratifying that Eurowings is now entrusting us with the maintenance of its new generation of engines.â€
