Aviation News – The Helicopter Company boosts operational fleet
Airbus Helicopters and The Helicopter Company (THC), Saudi Arabia’s leading commercial operator backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), finalized a firm order for eight additional Airbus H145 helicopters at the Farnborough International Airshow. Scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2028, the multi-mission aircraft will scale up essential air services and expand the operator’s commercial reach across the Middle East.
The transaction represents the latest exercise under the historic framework agreement signed between THC and Airbus at Verticon in 2024. That overarching deal outlines the potential delivery of up to 120 Airbus rotorcraft of various types over a three-to-five-year timeframe, supporting Saudi Arabia’s broader strategic effort to build a world-class domestic aviation infrastructure.
