Aviation News – ACIA Aero Leasing has finalized a sale and leaseback agreement for two ATR72-600 passenger aircraft with Braathens Regional Airlines, strengthening regional air connectivity across Sweden and Northern Europe. The deal supports continued operations on behalf of Scandinavian Airlines (SAS).
The two aircraft, identified as MSN 1348 and MSN 1357, are currently deployed on regional routes operated by Braathens Regional Airlines under its partnership with SAS. The agreement reflects growing demand for flexible aircraft financing solutions as regional carriers continue to optimize fleet operations and balance long-term capacity needs.
The ATR72-600, a modern turboprop designed for short-haul regional routes, is widely recognized for its fuel efficiency and operational flexibility. By using a sale and leaseback model, airlines can unlock capital from existing assets while maintaining uninterrupted service, improving financial agility and supporting network stability.
