Aviation News – Saudi Arabia’s national carrier Saudia has entered early negotiations with Boeing and Airbus to purchase at least 150 narrowbody and widebody aircraft, a potential multibillion-dollar order aimed at accelerating the kingdom’s aviation growth and strengthening its global network.
The discussions, first reported by Bloomberg and citing people familiar with the matter, involve both major manufacturers as Saudia weighs options to modernize and expand its fleet. The talks form part of Saudi Arabia’s broader aviation strategy to transform the country into a major international transit hub under its Vision 2030 economic diversification plan. A final supplier selection and timeline have not yet been disclosed, but the scale of the potential deal signals one of the largest fleet renewals in the airline’s recent history.
