Aviation News –
Bombardier’s Global 8000 ultra-long-range business jet has received certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration, clearing the way for customer deliveries in the world’s largest business aviation market.
The approval, announced on December 19, 2025, marks a key regulatory milestone for Bombardier’s flagship aircraft and strengthens its commercial prospects in North America.
The FAA decision follows Transport Canada’s type certification on November 5, which allowed the Global 8000 to enter service earlier this month. Certification by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency has yet to be completed, but the US clearance is seen as a critical step in the jet’s global rollout.
Positioned at the top end of Bombardier’s business jet portfolio, the Global 8000 is designed for ultra-long-range missions and high-speed performance, enabling nonstop flights between distant city pairs and offering operators greater flexibility on intercontinental routes.
