Aviation News – Vertical Aerospace and Héli Air Monaco advance zero-emission air transport
Vertical Aerospace and Héli Air Monaco have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the pre-order of the new Valo aircraft, marking a significant step toward sustainable air mobility along the French Riviera. The agreement positions Monaco’s historic helicopter operator to introduce zero-emission regional flights.
Announced as Vertical unveiled the Valo in London, the MoU outlines Héli Air Monaco’s intention to operate the aircraft across its network once it secures concurrent certification from European and UK regulators, targeted for 2028. The deal strengthens a longstanding aviation presence in a region known for dense traffic and high-end mobility demand.
The Valo features a premium cabin and is designed for quiet, comfortable flights with zero operating emissions. Its electric propulsion and lightweight architecture enable short-range urban and regional missions, making it well suited for routes linking Monaco, Nice, Cannes and Saint-Tropez.
