Aviation News – NetJets adopts Starlink connectivity across global fleet
NetJets will begin installing Starlink high-speed internet systems on its aircraft this month, launching one of the largest low-Earth-orbit connectivity rollouts in business aviation. The upgrade aims to give passengers faster, more reliable in-flight data access across the company’s U.S. and European fleets.
Under the agreement, Starlink will be installed on roughly 600 NetJets aircraft by the end of 2026. The rollout covers many of NetJets’ most flown models, including Cessna Citation Latitudes and Longitudes, Embraer Praetor 500s, Bombardier Challenger 350s and 650s, and the entire Global fleet. The move strengthens the company’s technological edge in a competitive private aviation market.
Starlink’s low-Earth-orbit satellite network delivers high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity, enabling video calls, streaming, and seamless data usage during flight. Its architecture supports consistent coverage and reduces service interruptions, offering a significant upgrade over traditional geostationary satellite systems.
