Aviation News – European aerospace titan Airbus delivered 72 commercial aircraft in September, maintaining steady progress toward its ambitious annual targets despite persistent global supply chain bottlenecks. The latest shipments bring the planemaker’s total deliveries for the first nine months of the year to 547 aircraft, representing an eight percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The September figures mirror performance from a year prior, when Airbus handed over 73 aircraft to customers worldwide. Industry analysts closely watched the month’s output following widespread concerns over cumulative delays across engine manufacturers and structural component suppliers. Despite these operational friction points, Airbus kept factory floors moving efficiently across its production sites in Europe, North America, and Asia.

The planemaker is targeting approximately 870 total deliveries for the full year, representing a 10 percent increase over the 793 aircraft delivered in 2025. Alongside steady delivery numbers, commercial momentum remained solid as Airbus secured 17 new aircraft sales during September. That brings total gross orders for the first nine months to 1,174 jets, while accounting for three cancellations in September leaves a robust net order total of 1,105 aircraft for the year so far.
