Aviation News – Airbus and Air France-KLM have officially established Alpha Component Solutions, a 50-50 joint venture dedicated to providing comprehensive component support, maintenance, and supply chain management for the worldwide Airbus A350 fleet.

The newly formed entity brings together the specialized capabilities of Airbus’ Flight Hours Services (FHS) and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M). Operating as a shared-access pool, the venture aims to address the expanding long-term maintenance requirements of global A350 operators. At its launch, the organization already contractually supports more than 500 aircraft worldwide, positioning itself to serve both current and incoming operators in a rapidly growing market.

The venture streamlines aircraft availability by merging original equipment manufacturer expertise with frontline airline operational experience. By coordinating a worldwide footprint, Alpha Component Solutions delivers integrated asset management, component repairs, and technical solutions designed to maximize fleet performance and minimize downtime for international airlines.

“For A350 operators, reliable access to components is essential to maintaining fleet availability and operational performance. At AFI KLM E&M, we combine extensive maintenance expertise with firsthand airline operational experience. By combining this understanding with Airbus’ FHS capabilities, Alpha Component Solutions will provide customers with a broader support network and solutions tailored to their operational needs. Our focus is on helping airlines maintain reliable operations as their fleets continue to grow,” said Anne Brachet, Executive Vice President Air France-KLM Engineering & Maintenance.

Looking ahead, the partnership establishes a standardized framework for aftermarket servicing that is expected to scale alongside the expansion of the global widebody fleet. Both parent companies intend to leverage their combined resources to adapt to increasing airline demands for robust supply chain reliability.
