Aviation News – Global aftermarket aviation specialist AerSale Corporation announced a new lease agreement delivering a Boeing 757-200PCF freighter to Mister Air Transport S.R.L., enabling the Romanian cargo carrier to launch its own independent flight operations in October 2026.
The lease agreement marks a major milestone for Mister Air Transport S.R.L. as it transitions from relying on chartered capacity to operating directly under its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and flight crews. The aircraft represents the initial building block in the carrier’s broader strategy to establish a dedicated fleet of medium-haul freighters.
Under this operational framework, Mister Air Transport S.R.L. will fly cargo missions on behalf of AerCommerce, a key shareholder with an established international logistics customer base. Stationed out of Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport (LCJ) in Poland, the newly leased freighter will serve key trade lanes across the region.
The converted passenger-to-freight Boeing 757-200PCF delivers robust main-deck cargo capacity, long range, and high operational reliability for mid-sized freight networks. Flying under a Romanian Air Operator Certificate (AOC) allows Mister Air Transport S.R.L. to control scheduling directly, optimize turnaround times, and lower overall cost structures compared to third-party charter solutions.
Company leadership highlighted the operational value of bringing dedicated freighter aircraft into service: “The 757-200PCF freighter marks the launch of Mister Air’s own flight operations, flying under its certificate and crews rather than chartering capacity from other carriers.”
Transitioning to direct aircraft operations gives Mister Air Transport S.R.L. and AerCommerce total control over their supply chain services and scheduling flexibility. Integrating additional aircraft into the Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport (LCJ) hub will enhance cargo throughput, expand regional connectivity, and support growing e-commerce demand.
