Since entering commercial service two decades ago in 2004, the E-Jets family has secured a top-three spot among the world’s most successful commercial aircraft series. The manufacturer selected Azul Linhas Aéreas, Brazil’s largest carrier by destinations served, to receive this landmark E195-E2 aircraft.
The developer expanded this aircraft program to offer high operational flexibility and reduced operating costs for expanding fleets. Over 90 airlines across more than 60 countries currently fly E-Jets on regional and international corridors. The worldwide fleet has already logged roughly 48 million flight hours while safely transporting over 2.85 billion passengers.
The flagship E195-E2 features advanced aerodynamic design, next-generation high-bypass engines, and fly-by-wire flight controls. These architectural enhancements deliver double-digit reductions in fuel burn, lower carbon emissions, and significantly reduce noise footprints compared to previous-generation regional aircraft.
