The Dublin-headquartered aviation services group finalized the transaction on August 7, 2026, transferring full ownership of the two widebody jets—registered as OE-IFB and OE-IFD—from their previous leasing structures directly into the company’s asset portfolio. Both aircraft are operated by ASL Airlines Belgium out of its primary European cargo hub at Liège Airport, supporting key intercontinental routes connecting major trading centers across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Technically, the Boeing 747-400ERF (Extended Range Freighter) remains a cornerstone for heavy, high-volume logistics due to its gross payload capacity of up to 117 tonnes and maximum range exceeding 8,200 kilometers. The aircraft features a dedicated front nose-loading cargo door alongside standard side fuselage doors, allowing freight forwarders and express integrators to load oversized, specialized machinery and palletized cargo that cannot fit into conventional twin-engine widebody aircraft.
