Luxair Expands Embraer E2 Fleet with Three New E190-E2 Orders

Aviation News – Embraer has announced that Luxair, the national airline of Luxembourg, has converted purchase rights for three E190-E2 aircraft into firm orders while securing one additional purchase right. The agreement strengthens the airline’s long-term fleet modernization strategy and reinforces confidence in the E2 family as demand for efficient regional aircraft continues to grow.

The latest agreement builds on Luxair’s previous commitment to the Embraer E2 program. The airline had already ordered six E195-E2 aircraft, with four currently in commercial service across its European route network. Their successful introduction has encouraged the carrier to expand its investment by adding the smaller E190-E2 variant.

With the new agreement, Luxair’s firm order book for the E2 family now stands at nine aircraft. The combination of the E195-E2 and E190-E2 will provide the airline with greater flexibility to match aircraft capacity with passenger demand while supporting future network growth.
