Aviation News – Five personnel of the Indian Air Force (IAF) were killed after an AN-32 transport aircraft crashed while attempting to land at Jorhat in the northeastern Indian state of Assam. The accident occurred during a routine sortie and has once again highlighted the risks associated with military aviation operations.
According to sources, the aircraft took off at around 10 a.m. on a routine mission before requesting a landing shortly afterward. During the landing process, the aircraft reportedly veered off the runway, broke into two pieces and caught fire. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but all five personnel on board lost their lives. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
